AuTechWire is an independent Australian technology news publication, founded in 2026 and based in Canberra.
We cover the technology stories that matter to Australians: the NBN and mobile networks, artificial intelligence policy and practice, startups, cybersecurity, consumer tech, and the decisions made in Canberra and boardrooms that shape our digital lives.
How we work
Every story is reported, fact-checked, and edited by our editorial team before publication. Our Editorial Standards page explains exactly how.
We are reader-funded in ambition and independent in practice: no story is ever shaped by an advertiser.
Who runs AuTechWire
AuTechWire was founded by Shoaib Hassan, an ICT professional working in systems analysis and database administration. The publication draws on that technical background to explain not just what happened in tech, but what it means.
